room to value... to weep... etc.

Sharing with Becca at Nurturing Thursday.

PS Today is the New Moon, and for me the beginning proper of Lent, so I'm taking a break from the internet (other than checking emails). I have gathered all my 'Room to...' posts in my Alphabet of Rooms here in the sidebar, which will appear when you press the wee lines icon upper left on the homepage.
See you after Easter 🌷🌸🌹🌺🌻🌼

If you want to read through the remaining letters...

WEEP

(ATC © Claire Sauer)

Yes, I weep.
Too easily -
An ad on TV,
A poem,
A photo,
A memory.

Yes, I weep,
Especially when
Trying to speak,
Of hard things,
Nameless things,
Memories.

Yes, I weep,
And I'm glad
My feelings are
Just under my skin.
Touch me,
And I weep.

XFER
Needless to say, the 'x' in any alphabet is tricky, especially if you're looking for a verb...

Apparently 'xfer' is a legitimate abbreviation of 'transfer', and when I first discovered art journalling in my early 40s, I embraced every technique I could - stamping, transferring, sticking, collaging - making tags and books and cards and...

So I give you these old images, done on the scanner, as it was before I got a digital camera - those were the days, eh??

YIELD
And one is never too old to play...

And finally.... ZZZZ
Made it!
I'm now taking a break from the internet for the next few weeks. But I'll leave you with this:

Love and Blessings,

Well wishes from me also. I like the way you combined topics in this post -- absence and fasting together with appreciation.
Thank you for visiting my blog. I peeped about a bit and enjoyed your photos and little verses. Some days someone else's words can make for a happy day and realization of many things we take fro granted. Then I read your Bio. Stroke is a terrible thing, and with patience, prayer, people's kindness you have to be strong and work hard everyday and enjoy simple things. My sister's husband the kindest, most physical fit man in our little town, age 58, had a massive one. If they were not visiting Minneapolis, he would not be there today. Their hospitals/rehab are so much better than our area. But with his determination and hard work he is out of the wheel chair, no walker, no cane, limps a little from right side damage, but intense exercise each day and great weather days he rides a 3 wheel bike around town, trained himself to be left handed, works the internet, but never totally recovered his speech. It changed our family's life completely. I pray EVERDAY that he can maintain peace inside and be surprised with a few more words everyday ...sometimes new will pop out. I also just noticed the colorful words of Albert Einstein. So very true, nature a true wonder and sometimes my base for a good day. Best Wishes,
So very true!
I came as you let me a comment this morning and I was interested if you have a blog and your Virgina Woolf avatar made me interested as I am a big fan of her. You are a strong woman with your story of recovery and you can be so proud of you! I saw that you are an art journaler as well, it would be amazing to see you maybe at our
ART-JOURNAL-JOURNEY-CHALLENGE
where we have monthly topics and are a lovely group.
Happy new Year ! I love your word of the year! And all the best for your health furthermore!

I will follow this blog now - maybe we can inspire us each other?!

Hugs from Austria
